Thurmont has a Farmers Market!

The Thurmont Economic Development Committee has organized a weekly Main Street Farmers Market.
 It will be held at the Boundary Avenue entrance to the Carnival Grounds each Saturday morning
from 8:00 a.m. until noon.

July 9th was the first day and there were 8 vendors selling a wide array of products including
fresh dairy products, fruit, vegetables, muffins, cookies, fresh cut flowers, eggs, cheese,
emu products, and home made cinnamon buns!  Customers started lining up before the
8:00 start and there was a steady flow until noon time.

We would like to thank Robin Keeny for organizing the Farmers Market and making it such a success.
 Any one interested in setting up a booth can contact Robin, Bill Blakeslee, Vickie Grinder or John Kinnaird.
