Yellow Cab of Thurmont
Yes, Thurmont now has it’s own Taxi Service! The Cabs are operated by Yellow Cab of Thurmont and are available 24 hours a day 365 days a year by calling 301-271-3340.
The cab service is licensed by the Town of Thurmont. 

With the help of her customers and staff Donna Bollinger made a donation of canned goods and money to the Thurmont Food Bank. Pastor Sally expressed her gratutude for the donations raised during Bollinger’s second year annivesary open house celebration..

Bollinger’s Restaurant
On July 12, 2008 the Thurmont Main Street & EDC welcomed Bollinger’s Restaurant with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 210 North Church Street in Thurmont.  Long a Thurmont landmark, Bollinger’s Restaurant recently re-opened in their new location after a 4 year break.  Owners Donna Bollinger, Joshua Bollinger and Carrie Witmer carry on the family tradition just a few steps from the Shopping Center where Junie & Momma Bollinger opened the restaurant in 1971.  Come by and see us!  Join our family for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  We hope to be around for a long time.  Thanks be to God and to all our family and friends that we’ve made over the years.  Bollinger’s Restaurant is open Tuesday-Saturday 6:00am – 8:00pm, and opening soon on Mondays from 6:00am-2:00pm.  Call for our daily specials, 301-271-3500.

by being named as one of the two 2005 Main Street Maryland Communities.

The Online Thurmont Business Directory is now available! It can be accessed by
 using the Thurmont Business Directory link on the left or by using the link provided on the
menu bar. This is one of the of main features of ThurmontFirst.com. The Directory has address
and phone information as well as email and web addresses if available.
Be sure to try the Directory and tell the businesses you shop with that you
used the online directory to locate them. The Directory is a recent project of the EDC
and is being distributed free of charge to all residences in Thurmont.
The online version of the Directory will contain the same information as the
printed version and will be updated regularly, eventually providing a wider range
of information about each business listed. Be sure to bookmark the Business Directory Page.

This site will include information about the many events we sponsor as well as events that are being planned. Events currently sponsored by the Thurmont EDC include Christmas in Thurmont, the Thurmont Business Expo, Thurmont Business Directory, ThurmontFirst.com, and our monthly meetings which are open to the public and always feature a guest speaker. We have many ideas for future projects including a Farmers Market, Downtown Shopping Days, Soap Box Races, Community Yard Sales and other community and business based events.
