The Mountain Heritage Festival Saturday, June 15th from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. Join us for a celebration of Thurmont's Mountain Heritage with a theme of Civil War Era, featuring a parade, exhibits of the finalists of the Children's Art Festival, games with prizes, Fife and Drum Corps, Artisan demonstrations, authors with book signings, Historians,and local merchants dressed in Civil War period clothing. This event is free and will be held on Thurmont's East Main Street from the Carnival Grounds to the Square and out North Church Street to the Thurmont Plaza Shopping Center.

The Thurmont First Main Street Flea and Farmers Market starts Saturday, June 15, 2013!
Come the the Thurmont First Main Street Flea and Farmers Market for some delicious fresh fruits and vegetables, wonderful baked goods, beautiful fresh cut flowers, earth friendly “green” skin care and cleaning products, and welcoming helpful vendors. The dates will run Saturdays from 9:00am until noon at the Boundary Avenue entrance to the Guardian Hose Compnay Carnival Grounds. There will be no Farmers Market on July 13th due to the GHC Carnival. Please call Karen KInnaird at 301-271-4811 to register as a vendor or if you have any questions. Applications are available online or at the Thurmont Town Office, 10 Frederick Road, Thurmont.

Thurmont Main Street Update: The Thurmont First Main Street program is now under the control of a seperate Board of Directors. Be sure to watch your email and this site for upcoming news and events sponsored and hosted by Thurmont First Main Street. Thurmont First is a 501C-3 Corporation and as such all donations to Thurmont First Main Street are tax deductable.
