This Planning & Zoning workshop is to finalize proposed zoning classification changes.  The new Mixed Village Center zoning will be discussed.

The public is welcome to attend.

in the town office at 7:30 if cases are scheduled for the docket.

The Gallery Stroll has been rescheduled for May 23, 2008
Join us May 23, downtown on Thurmont's Main Street for the First Gallery Stroll of 2008, from 6:20pm-9:00pm.  The evening features live music from 6:30pm - 8:30pm.  Stroll through the stores, sample some wine and enjoy the delights, sights and sounds on Main Street!

There will be an open house to for public review the Master Plan Draft from 6:00pm - 8:00pm in the town meeting room. 

Residents are strongly encouraged to attend the open houses to review both the text and maps included in the Master Plan draft.  This document will give direction for  future growth and land use and should be reviewed and understood by a majority of the residents of Thurmont.

This will be an informal meeting and refreshments will be available.

The Frederick County BOCC host a meeting monthly with officals from the counties municipalities. The meeting is generally held at 3:00pm on the third Thursday.

The Thurmont Heritage Days Committee will crown the King & Queen of Heritage Days at the Senior Citizens Center.  Local residents over the age of 65 are invited to enter the competition. Contestants will be asked to dress in traditional farming clothing in honor of Thurmont's agricultural heritage. The King and Queen will represent Thurmont Heritage days at upcoming events leading up to the first Thurmont Heritage Days celebration
in May 2009  

There is a Yard Waste drop off scheduled for Saturday, May 17th from 8:00am-12:00 noon.  Bring your yard waste to the water treatment plant on Moser Road for disposal.  Turn into the Water Treatment Plant driveway then follow the road straight back the Yard Waste area and see the town employee for instructions.
